Smekermann I went into this with no expectations except “kraut jamz” and it kinda blew me away. For starters, all band members are firing on all cylinders. I love how the guitar builds soundscapes upon the grooves laid down by the rhythm section. That’s some real krautrock shit. The guitar reminds me of Earthless a bit, in that the leads are thoughtful and exploratory, but also rocken and bluesy.

These are thoughtful and well-structured jams. Give ‘em a listen. Favorite track: Преподобный уголовник.
